Yes. All bookings are made through our website and are subject to a two-night minimum stay. A non-refundable $72 deposit is required to reserve your cat’s room and will be credited against your final bill.
Cozy half-wall rooms start at $36/night + HST, and floor-to-ceiling rooms start at $42/night + HST. We can also book over the phone, but online booking saves time. Please call 902-989-7297 if you have questions or issues.
Proof of current FVRCP, rabies and FeLV vaccinations is mandatory and must be uploaded or emailed before your cat’s stay. Flea and tick treatment is strongly recommended before boarding.

We provide clean food and water dishes, litter boxes, bedding, toys, cat trees and daily individual play time. Please upload or email a copy of your cat’s updated vaccination records before arrival.
We provide wet and dry cat food, but if your cat has a favourite food, specific dietary needs, medication, bedding, blankets or toys, please bring enough for their stay. Familiar smells and items from home can help cats settle in more comfortably.

We will be happy to welcome your cat, and sorry to see them go, between 7:30 AM and 9:30 PM every day by appointment. Check-out time is 12 noon. Late checkouts are charged at $20 per room.
Please contact us if your travel arrangements require pick-up or drop-off outside these hours, and we may be able to accommodate your request on a case-by-case basis. When booking, please select a precise time because all cats need to be back in their rooms when guests are checking in or out.
We plan play times around scheduled drop-off and pick-up times. To help us avoid delays, please let us know if your scheduled time changes by calling or texting 902-989-7297.

No, we are purely a cat boarding facility, which helps keep your cats relaxed and comfortable.

Just like a human hotel, we need time to clean and change over rooms to welcome our next guests. Check-out time is 12 noon. Late checkouts are charged at $20 per room and accommodated on a best-efforts basis.

We accept major credit cards, debit cards and e-transfers. A card is required to reserve a room, and a $72 non-refundable deposit is collected and applied as a credit to your final invoice. The remaining balance will be collected in person at the end of your cat’s stay using a secure Square card terminal.
For privacy and security, we do not receive your card information during reservation. The card used to reserve your room will not automatically be charged at checkout; you may use a card of your choice at the end of your cat’s stay.

Absolutely! All of our rooms are spacious enough for two cats from the same household. There is an additional charge of $24 per night, per additional cat.

Yes. We are a professional, fully insured cat boarding facility, including general liability insurance and vet care coverage should it be required. Emergency vet bills will be included on your final invoice. Please contact us for more information.

No. Unfortunately, we do not provide injections such as insulin. We do administer many other medications in pill or liquid form. Please contact us before booking to confirm we can accommodate your cat’s needs.

Please let us know as soon as possible. While we are a boutique cat boarding facility we plan play time for our other cat guests around your scheduled appointment times. Please call us at 1-902-989-7297 if you need to change your planned times to avoid delays. For safety we do not allow cats from separate households to interact.

Halifax Kitty Hotel differs from many kennels, vets and mixed pet boarding facilities by offering larger private rooms, daily individual play time, personalized care with photo updates, and a quiet, cat-only location.
We have found that facilities with dogs can make the boarding experience more stressful for cats. We encourage you to see what our past customers loved about our space and care.

The deposit is non-refundable, but we often have a waitlist and appreciate as much notice as possible. Please note that replies to the booking confirmation email go to an unmonitored account.
